Andre Wilkerson has charted a remarkable path of entrepreneurial success and community service through his twin ventures, AW Driving School, established in 2012, and AW Trucking School, which followed a decade later in 2022. Wilkerson’s commitment to enhancing road safety and providing comprehensive driver education has solidified his reputation in the greater Lehigh Valley Area, making him a trusted figure in driver training.
Driven by a vision to improve roadway safety one driver at a time, Wilkerson identified a pivotal opportunity when he learned that PennDOT was launching a pilot program for 3rd party car testing. Although he initially missed out, his relentless dedication saw him preparing rigorously to become a certified tester. His hard work bore fruit on February 1, 2019, when he was approved as a 3rd party cars tester, marking a historic milestone as the first Black-owned car driving license 3rd party testing center owner in Pennsylvania’s history.
The success of helping community members acquire their driver’s licenses was only the beginning. Andre then ventured into offering Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) testing on April 8, 2021, yet again making history as the first Black-owned CDL 3rd party testing center owner in the state. This significant leap paved the way for the establishment of AW Trucking School on December 21, 2022, further demonstrating Andre’s commitment to creating accessible pathways into the trucking industry for his community. His innovative approach to one-on-one training set a new standard in the area, offering personalized and effective driver education.
Today, Andre Wilkerson continues to lead both AW Driving School and AW Trucking School with an unwavering commitment to growth and development. Working closely with his team, he remains dedicated to his mission of making the greater Lehigh Valley Area safer, one driver at a time, while simultaneously opening doors to career opportunities in the trucking industry. The test itself is fast and easy. However, the waiting time is so long even though you have reserved everything in advance. With all the waiting, provided free wifi would be cool. They also canceled my reservation because I did not have the learning permit 5 days before(somewhat understandable). Although I got it right away the next day, they did not give me back my reservation.

I had a great experience at AW trucking. If you’re committed to it you learn things quickly. My trainer Tim (Him) Ramos was amazing. Very friendly, encouraging, and informative. I couldn’t have done it without the individualized training. The office staff were very friendly. My only word of advice is during your exam be clear and loud so the examiner hears you. Definitely recommend, they will not waste your time nor theirs.

He made me feel very comfortable where I forgot I was taking an exam my nervousness wasn’t getting the best of me anymore because I felt like I was a pro and I was just showing him what I learned and what I knew. The staff at AW Driving School were very friendly and easy to communicate with. We took just the drivers test there since there was a 4 month wait at PennDot. Scheduling was quick and easy online with flexible scheduling hours. We were able to choose to use our car or theirs and we were able to practice before the test which was helpful. Simply put, the best!! Everyone was so polite, helpful, and understanding of my kid's needs. He took driving lessons and then the test. I strongly recommend the lessons before the test. AW was a blessing for my kid and our family. I have two other kids and I definitely plan to go go to AW again! 100% recommended. Keep up the great work!!!!

I just passed 👍😜Just to say my experience at AW driving school testing center in PA was outstanding.The examiners where very professional.My examiner Michelle even was outstanding she really calmed my nerves Down by explaining everything to me before and during my exam. A real professional well done AW driving School&Testing Center I’m highly recommend this place!!!!

Well worth the money!My son was apprehensive about getting driving lessons (he didn't think he needed them 🙄), but after his first lesson, he told me he really enjoyed it. He drove with 2 different instructors over 3 lessons and liked them both. He passed his test with flying colors and still uses his instructors tips when he drives.Highly recommend!!

I definitely recommend this place to everyone. I took my 30 minute parallel parking with my teacher and he was the best with it. It was super easy and yea you are allow to use ur camera and it was a huge help when they teach you. After that he make me drive around and make the exact thing your next instructor will do with you at your text. He make me feel confident in everything I did. They was really nice and professional with everything. This is the place you need to go and I promise you won’t regret anything. Thank you guys so much for ya help ya was the best 😬

I had such an amazing experience. My instructor was Jack and he was so helpful. He made me feel confident and he explained things very well. I didn’t have any prior experience with driving.. I never had faith in myself that I could get my license and because of Jack I did. I am very happy with the entire facility for being so kind, professional and encouraging. It was exactly what I needed.

I LOVED everyone here. They were kind and straightforward with everything, very easy to talk to. They even celebrated my passing! I took the lesson and the test and found both very comfortable. They’re quick in scheduling as well. I took both today but the DMV had me scheduled for mid December! I appreciate everything you guys did! Keep up the good work! 😀

This is absolutely the best school there is. I was able to receive training and the CDL road test in the same day. The Director Diego is hands down the best instructor there is and a great person. He truly cares and wants you to pass. He took his time and explained everything. I’m so grateful for Diego and the AW Driving School. If your looking for a school to attend this is the one. I will be returning in the near future for me Class A license. Trust me if you need a CDL license or driving license this is the school to go to.
