The AWTS CDL A Program follows a structured curriculum, beginning with a comprehensive 40-hour ELDT theory component. This online theory training allows students to learn at their own pace and convenience. Following the theory portion, students will proceed to the heart of the program, which entails 60 hours of intensive one-on-one training. Our skilled instructors will provide personalized guidance and hands-on instruction to ensure students develop the essential knowledge and skills needed to obtain their Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A. This well-rounded approach to training guarantees that students are fully prepared and confident to excel in their CDL examination and embark on a successful career as professional CDL Class A truck drivers.

10 Hour Test Prep and CDL Test (Automatic Only)
Our 10-Hour CDL Test Prep & Road Test Package is designed for drivers testing in Automatic Transmission Trucks. Perfect for students who have already trained and need a focused brush-up before their exam.
What’s Included:
- Pre-Trip Inspection Review (2 hrs) – Step-by-step inspection practice on an automatic truck.
- Backing & Maneuvers (3 hrs) – Straight-line, offset, parallel parking, and alley dock.

E-Restriction Removal
20-Hour Training + Test for E-Restriction Removal
Cost: $3,500
Description:
This program is designed for CDL holders with an E-restriction (automatic transmission only) who wish to upgrade their license.
The package includes:
20 hours of hands-on training in a manual transmission commercial vehicle.
Skills test to demonstrate proficiency with manual transmission operation, enabling removal of the E-restriction.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must hold a valid A or B CDL with an E-restriction.
- Must Hold a valid E – restriction permit.
- Must bring a valid medical examiner’s certificate (if applicable).

Need just a CDL Test?
We (AW Driving School inc) are a Third Party Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Testing Center certified by PennDOT. Our facility offers CDL tests for both Class A and Class B vehicles at a price of $400 for the pass/fail examination.
To be eligible to take the CDL test at our center, you must meet the following requirements:
- Possess a valid CDL Learner’s Permit
- Hold a valid Driver’s License
- Provide valid registration and insurance for the tractor and trailer you will be using during the exam
- Be accompanied by a driver who holds a valid CDL License
- Must have training hours log in to FMCSA. (ELDT, Range, and Road)
- To use our equipment you must do a 4 hour test prep ($400)
In the event that you need to retake the exam, please note that the full price applies for both the inspection and skills tests. However, if you only need to retake the road test, the cost is $200.
